T.K.O. Sports Advertising And Production
Tko sports advertising took our money to advertise on tshirts for high school, never delivered, make excuse after excuse, wouldn't refund our $, threatened to sue us for slander

I was contacted in August regarding placing an ad on the back of a Tshirt for our local high school. The shirts were to be handed out at all sporting events during the school year, and we were also to receive two shirts for our participation in their advertising. If we paid immediately by credit card, we would receive a 10% discount. We paid them $179.88 by credit card (including the 10% discount from the going rate of $199.)
When we hadn't received our shirts in October, I called. They said they were behind because of Hurricane Ike. We didnt receive shirts in November. I called. They said they were waiting to fill up the back of the shirts with other advertisers. I asked for a refund, but they refused.
I called in November and they said they would be ready soon. Same for December, January, February, March, and April. Each time I asked for a refund, but they refused.in April I was told they were almost ready.By then we had missed all the sporting events for the 2008 2009 school year.
In May we received our two "Free" shirts and assumed the shirts had been given to the school also. It was too late to get a charge back on our credit card, so I let the matter drop and considered it a lesson learned.
This week, the third week in August, I learned that the only shirts sent to our high school were enough shirts for the members of the basketball team. The coach who supposedly signed an agreement with TKO never knew that the shirts were to be given out at sporting events. The coach also said he would never deal with them again because of all the complaints he had received from advertisers who didn't get what they paid for.
I also learned from a fellow advertiser that TKO is still selling ads in our school area even though the school asked them not to. Bottom line we paid $179.88, as did a dozen or so other advertisers (many ads were much larger than ours) so that TKO could print enough shirts to hand out to the school basketball team. We estimated that they received over $3,000 from the sale of ads for our school. This was never the agreement and TKO stands behind nothing!!! Their only response to me was that they would sue me for slander.
We will be filing a complaint in small claims court within the month. I hope this complaint prevents others from the same fate!!!
