JB Hunt uses lies to lure drivers into their lease option program. They promise high miles (2500-3000 miles a week consistantly) has been stated many times. My husband has been with them since November and has been lucky if he got 2500 miles three times in this period. Oh they still take their truck payment, escrow deductions for truck and maintanence, highway tax, insurance to name a few and if he is lucky he gets a whopping pay of around $300.00 and this is without any taxes being withheld. That is the truckers responsibility. One week he got a pay of $66.00 two weeks later he got a minus $54.00. How can a family survive on that?
No one in the company will correct this. We have talked to everyone from his useless dispatcher to the VP of the independant contractor group and still he gets under 2500 miles to be able to make it after deductions. But yet they have over $3500.00 in an escrow account. I am waiting to see if they try to without this money when my husband lease period is over.
Thank goodness he only signed for 6 months. Six months of lousey pay and overdue bills. To anyone thinking of joining the JB Hunt lease option program... Please rethink it unless you are willing to be out on the road making JB Hunt money because you sure won't be making money for yourself. JB Hunt will sale you a bill of goods... Problem is it is all lies. Only ones that make out in this program is JB Hunt.
