In July of I went to HomeKeeper USA to help me save my home. At that time, I had filed a Ch. 13 bankruptcy in Dec. Of 2007. They told me to change it to a Ch. 7 so that they could help me save my house. So in July, I changed from a 13 to a 7. They then told me that the mortgage company won't talk to them until we are out of the bankruptcy. Then in Feb. Of this year, our bankruptcy was discharged. I called Homekeeper to start talking to the mortgage company and they then told me that I had to get a reaffirmation from the mortgage company, which took them another month to tell me. I have contacted my lawyer and several other companies that have told me that once our bankruptcy has been discharged, we can't get a reaffirmation because our case is closed. It was also up to the mortgage company to give us the reaffirmation. The last time I heard from them was the beginning of July. They said they couldn't do anything until I file the reaffirmation paperwork, even though I told them it can't happen. I e-mailed them and told them that I want my money back, but have yet to call or return my e-mail. They promised they could help and wouldn't take our money unless they could and say they have 100% guarantee. Lori Burbank, Illinois
