Anytime a company acts like they have a problem with you researching them, that should be a red flag automatically. That was the deciding factor after going on an "interview" at CP International after responding to an ad in craigslist. I responded to their ad, called them and they set up an appointment. During the interview, I'm reminded I would have to pay $80 up front. The cost of training is a total of $379 which needed to be paid within a week. This was not told to me over the phone when I asked how much the training cost. You know what, let me just get to what really scared me away. During the whole "interview", the interviewer consistently contridicted themselve when I asked specific questions. I felt as though I was being rushed to sign up for their courses and this person kept assuring me there was no reason to seek out training anywhere else because I would get the same story from them. Little did she know that I had already checked out other places and although the stories were indeed very similar, the PRICE was NOT!!! I have been through this before with the fake modeling agencies so I can smell this a mile away. The interviewer kept talking down to me repeatedly saying "you have nothing to bring to the table". I told them I was concerned about paying all this money and not getting placed within their company. The response, "the only guarntees in life is that you will pay taxes and die". Then the interviewer goes on to say that they have been doing this for X amount of years, and they have 30 new slots a month that needed to be filled so as long as my background check and drug test was good, I would be working. Ok. BUT THEN, when I said, let me think about this and check into the company, NOW all of a sudden, I'm told there will be nothing available after today. WTF?!?!? You just said 30 new slots a month! Now because I want to consider if I'm willing to give you $379 dollars with no quarantee and research the company's background, you will have nothing for me if I leave?!? RIPOFF! I have left out so much of this incident only because I don't have time to type it all. Believe me, it's comical and very dissappointing. I'm not going to say they haven't employed anybody, but I pray for the victims of this company. If they are legit, they might want to train the interviewers a little better because anybody with awareness will be scared away from this place.
