Failed to clean the DE filter when pool was closed in fall. Denied that they did not clean DE filter. When opened in spring I had to take apart the filter and clean it myself. Before I cleaned it, even after backwashin, the pressure remained too high to operate the filter.
After cleaning the DE filter, the pressure has been within spec.
When contacted Jersey Pool and Spa denied that they failed to clean the filter and tried to explain away the issue with the pressure being too high and the fact that pressure returned to within spec after cleaning. Jersey Pool and Spa said that they wanted to make good, but failed to return repeated phone calls or agree to return all or even partial cost of fall closing.
Given the choice I would not deal with Jersey Pool and Spa agin. There service is shoddy, they do not stand behind their work, and their parts are way overpriced. There are many other reputable pool companies in South Jersey that I would use. Or better yet, learn about your pool equipment yourself and buy replacement parts over the internet.
