Verizon FiOs won't refund for bad service

Today my Verzion FiOs services went comepletely out, internet, phone and cable. I called the customer service center, only to be told that I would not be able to get my services returned until saturday because that is when a technician would be able to come out. Today is Thursday. I have an elderly grandmother who is sick and needs a phone to stay in contact with doctors and etc. The customer service reps kept me on hold for hours. And when I asked them about a possible credit on the account based on the fact that we would be out of service until saturday, they reported that it was out of the question.

I've also been "mysteriously" disconnected when asked to speak with a manager. So now, as I type this I have no phone service, no internet, and no working cable television until Saturday, and thats not even promised. My family and I are switching to Comcast, or some other cable internet phone service that provides better customer support and better service. I suppose you get what you pay for, or rather what you don't pay for. We will be disconnecting our services soon. I urge any FiOs customers to make the switch today. Poor cable service, mediocre phone service, and the internet isn't the best either.
