Dexknows has launched a new and improved Dexknows.com. Improved for whom? It certainly hasn't improved for the advertiser. When I took the advertising, the book ad covered 17 Zip code areas as well as did Dex Knows.com.
When I took the ads, Dex knows.com covered all 17 of those Zip code areas, and now the improved Dexknows.com only covers or comes up with my ad if a person puts in my exact Zip Code. My Zip code, according to the U.S. Census (year 2000) reaches 9,180 people or 3,802 housing units.
Before the improvement, again according to the 2000 U.S. Census, my ad reached 295,976 people, and 112,469 housing units. Your so called improvements, reduce the size of my advertising audience by 286,796 people and 108,667 housing units. Those are not small numbers.
The main idea of advertising is to get your ad in front of as many people as you can. Reducing those numbers doesn't help me. If a person happens to live across the street and is in a different Zip code, they cannot find my business in Dexknows.
If you are a paid advertiser with Dexknows.com check to see if your ad comes up in any other zip code except the one your business is in.
