Issue #1 Movers arrived 5 hours late
#2 Condo association I moved into had very strict rules on elevator reservation times - service elevators used to move furniture closed at 6pm. Did not finish moving until 12:15am.
Issue #3 Allison booked another mover onto my ticket without my authorization, caused discrepancy between myself and roommate for which we no longer speak. Movers did not get through with my roommate's move until 2:30am, adding her costs onto my bill.
Issue #4 Phoned Allison to complain, felt I was entitled to some sort of a discount, turned into a screaming match, Allison hung up on me.
Issue #5 Allison would not release her superior's contact information and was extremely rude, unaccommodating and unprofessional.
Issue #6 I was not asking for a full refund but simply a discount for all of the inconvenience and hardship I encountered.
I did not receive a valued service I was referred to them for and expected. (friendly customer service, on time efficient movers) My move took 5 hours, my roommate 3 hours, total of 8 hours = $677. With this struggling economy that is a lot of money to pay for extremely bad service. And isn't that the whole reason why you hire movers in the first place? For peace of mind, so you don't have to worry about the hassle of moving. Right?
I was refunded a fuel charge of $35 and sent a letter, however, this will not make-up for the hardship I experienced with this company and I am not satisfied. Big Boyz said in their letter they will not make any additional refunds. If Allison responded in a professional, understanding, empathetic manner to me and refunded 1 hour off the bat, (total of $79) none of this would've been reported. There would be a slight chance of retaining me as a customer. A small price to pay would've gone a long way. I believe Allison should be terminated as her behavior was extremely unprofessional during my experience with her. I will never use Big Boyz movers again, nor will I refer anyone to them. I have already pursued a local new station, 8 on your side, and will go all the way if I have to. People like Allison should NOT be allowed to work in customer service.
