Family Readers Service uses customer voice recordings as a "contract" to obligate a customer to their terms of service. Furthermore, their service is over priced. When I asked them to send me a copy of the "contract" they refused, and instead played a voice recording to me. Their version of a customer signature on a contract was a verbal "I don't know... Maybe", which, they claimed would hold up in a court of law because "they know the law".
When they discovered that I represented a corporation, they returned my call and said that they had found a written "contract" and that they would send it right away. This document clearly states "this is not a contract" and contains no signatures whatsoever, yet in the legal disclosure at the bottom, the document is referred to as a "consumer credit contract".
The bottom line is, these guys are shady, and there are enough companies out there that offer similar services to make avoiding this company a "no brainer".
