On 3/25 I contacted her regarding a dog for sale on the website nextdaypets.com (I brought this matter to their attention as well, and they have since banned her from the site). The dog was listed for sale at $400 plus $250 airline freight, which my wife and I agreed to pay.
The puppy was listed as being 5 weeks and 4 days old. The dog, which we named Pitu, shipped on 3/27 and when we examined the health certificate we saw that the dog was listed as being 8 weeks, and a little over 2lbs. Given that we have another dog of the same breed, we
thought he seemed very small to be 8 weeks, however had been told by the seller that the 5 week age on the site was a typo. Pitu fell ill within 48 hours of landing, and in spite of our best efforts passed away the following morning.
We contacted the seller, informing her of the death, and were told that she would either refund our money or provide us with another puppy. We told her that our vet thought that Pitu died because he was several weeks too young to fly, and that she should wait a few more
weeks before shipping any of the other pups she was listing for sale.
We researched the issue, and found that Continental, the carrier which shipped the dog, will not accept any animal less than 8 weeks old. We asked the seller about this, and the fact that our puppy had been listed at only 5 weeks when she shipped him, and she said that she
wouldn't ship any other dogs until they were at least 12 weeks old. She didn't directly admit to falsifying information for the health certificate, but implied that she had not been doing this very long and was unaware that shipping an undersized puppy could kill it.
On 4/7, the seller e-mailed stating that they would refund our money on Friday the 10th, if a replacement animal could not be found. She said that she'd been involved in a car accident and had been having a
difficult time caring for the dogs. She also mentioned that her mother had shipped a few of her other puppies, and they'd gone to the wrong places, and that several of her dogs were suffering from kennel cough.
After hearing this, we requested our money back in lieu of a replacement pup, fearing that the incident with Pitu was not isolated. We opened a claim with paypal to refund our money, but were informed that because the transaction took place outside of ebay we were
without recourse. After we sent complaint to the local animal facilities and all that she changed her phone number, cancelled the email we had for her, in other words SHE RAN! Since putting a review on puppyfind about her, she tried to contest my review, but i had enought proof that puppyfind kept my review online.
While there is little we can do to recoup the money we've lost, we are hopeful that we can perhaps save her other puppies from the same fate as Pitu.in addition to her aside about kennel cough and mis-shipping puppies, we noticed that on the website listings she had altered the age of the puppies so that they appeared older. A pair of puppies that were advertised as Pitu's brothers went from 6 weeks and 3 days (at the time) to 13 weeks and 3 days. Apparently she became concerned that not having the advertised ages match up with the age on the health certificate could cause a problem.
It's been one and a half months since the puppy passed away, and recently i found her posting animals on puppyfind again, but this time she had a different phone number and breeder name. Now her breeder name is just PUPPY and she only has a phone number - which is a cricket number-

Do not purchase any animals from her, she runs a SCAM, since my review went up against her account, 2 people contacted me saying their puppy died in the same situation and the breeder did nothing!
