Warning Chandler Arizona area, Qwest is only delivering 40% of service and charging you 100%! Please read!

On or about October 20 we (me and my wife) had services installed from Qwest such as cable, internet and home phone, not long after, we started having problems with cable freezing and internet being very slow, we called a couple of times and were instructed to re-set the receiver box by disconnecting it and also by walking us through steps to achieve faster speeds on the computer, the service seemed to get better but a few days later would go back to the same problem, we kept calling from time to time and about six months after the installation a Tech showed up and replaced the reciever and said that it was not a guarantee because the underground cables needed to be replaced.

It has already been eighteen months of dealing with the same problems and on 04/02, Tim, a broadband Technician comes over and installs a useless temporary cable from the next door neighbors box until something is done with the underground cables which in his words it was miles and that eventually Qwest was not going to have cable and that is why they are partnering with DirecTV, that explains why they did not do anything from the beginning.

The Technician said we were only getting 40% reception because of the damaged under ground cables (that explains our long lasting problems)

We consider ourselves good customers, never late and only ask for good service

I contacted Josh in billing and told him that for a year and a half we have paid 100% of our bill and deserved 100% service, not 40% and all I was asking for was a solution to the problem with the service and some credit adjustment, Josh then offered to give us a free month service and started to talk about DirecTV and how he could get me a good deal, I told him if he could e-mail me all the information because I was at work and it was windy and could not hear very well, he said that he was not authorized to send anything and everything had to be done by phone, not wanting to miss on a good deal I called my wife and told her about my conversation with Josh and to call before he left.

When I got home my wife told me she talked to Josh and that he offered her to try DirecTV for a month and if we were not satisfied with the service we could cancel, monday 04/06 DirecTV was installed and after the job was finished my wife innocently and without reading, signed a paper totally relying on what Josh had said and thinking it was a receipt of service.

For the first few days there were several things we did not like including the messy job the DirecTV Tech did (wires laying on the floor, debris from holes drilled on the wall on the carpet, etc).

My wife then called Josh on 04/09 to cancel and the response was that he never said we could cancel DirecTV, that it was a totally separate thing (this also explains why he did not want to e-mail any information.)

Something is definetely going on between Qwest and DirecTV and the only ones affected are we the customers who are trying to survive in this tough economy
