Sent me a fake check, told me to cash it and call them back

I recieved a check in the mail for $4,7500 in the mail from A&B Services INC. I called the number and they told me to deposit the check into my account, and call them back, I called my back, and they told me it was fake. This is rediculous, Im thinking i can pay off my debt, and finally like in financial freedom, then I come to find out its a scam.
