Bell South has charged me long distance fees (approx $10 monthly) for the past four months. I called them to complain. They told me that if I had already paid the bill there was nothing they could do about it. I called At&t to resolve the issue, they told me to subtract the amount in question from the next bill. I did so, but Bell South just keeps added it on as an unpaid balance from last month. So I keep paying in order to have a phone, but it is bullshit.
