I have been a customer of Oil Can Henry's since 2002. Last oil change was just last month. My car would not start and found the positive battery cable corroded very badly. My car would not start so i had to pay 180.00 for new cable and labot at dealership. All this time i thought since they advertize under the hood inspection and battery level inspection the least they could do is tell me about my corroding cable so that i could have it cleaned or clean it myself. I am disabled so i dont do my own work, so I have entrusted that to oil can henry's to do for me.
I took the corroded cable and the bill to the oil can henry's and was told to talk to "Director of Operations". I did so and he stated they do not check batterycables or offer a service to clean them. I told him I would think that if they checked the battery, it would seem reasonable to check the cables to the battery also. "We do not check cables as a part of out service" was his answer.
I am sure that if they can fill resevoirs and charge for air cleaning service and such, they should also check a customers battery cables also. Apparently, if it doesnt mean a profit to them then it wont get done. They have lost a good customer for sure.
