Bryan Castles too deposit of $875 for web project and failed to deliver. When pressed he through a bunch of broken code onto the server. Finally after several missed deadlines to correct the issue I requested a refund of the deposit. Bryan agreed to refund the money but has since dropped of the planet. I have sent multiple emails to him to no avail. I finally copied his wife on the emails and received back a response saying that she has nothing to do with Bryan's business. Byran's last communication with me is as follows:
I understand your position, and I haven't tried to tell you that I think you are wrong, or responding inappropriately to your position. I have only assigned a value to my partial work that you don't agree with, and that is perfectly acceptable as well given that you have no plans to utilize my work going forward. That said, I have received your written (email) request for refund of the deposit for design and development services on 2-16-09, and will provide the requested refund of $875 within 30-day of the request, or 3-18.
I understand your desire to draft up documentation for legal purposes, however be aware that documents that reflect a refund date other than that listed above are not automatically agreed to by me, and will be handled separately from my response (this message) to your refund request.
I understand your position and right to take any necessary action to collect, and am happy to co-operate within the limitations of what's been outlined above, and within the messages dated today regarding this project. Beyond that, any other options or discussions will have to be agreed on separately.
I'm really sorry to see this project go the way it has, it was neither my intention, nor my desire for it to do so.
Thank You,
Bryan Castles
