I have been shopping at this Publix Store for about 7 years and have complained about the BUY-ONE-GET-ONE-FREE not being available on the Wednesdays that there is a 5% discount to Senior Citizens to the clerks and to the store manager. When I have complained about this, the store manager says that is not true and that the products sometimes run out. Well this is a fact and this has been going on for more than one year.
There are BUY-ONE-GET-ONE-FREE sales starting on thursdays and they usually not on sale on wednesday, when senior citizens could get the 5% discount. There fore one can save more by shopping on a different day other than wednesday. Therefore the 5% senior citizens discount is really not a savings at all.
The other complaint is about the bread that is baaked at the Publex store for the sandwitches in the Deli. This bread often is of very poor quality and litterally falls apart when used to make a philli cheesestake sandwitch, One must than eat the sandwitch with a fork, because one cannot hold it in your hand to eat it.
The reason the bread is like this is because they have changed the dough to make it, I know this is a fact because I have discussed this with the Deli manager and with other employees, and they have confirmed that the supplier has changed. I stopped getting philly cheesstake sandwitches for this reason.
