A woman named "Carry Allen" called the office and said that they had already spoken to my boss and he referred her to me about ordering office supplies. She said they were going out of business and had alread talked to my boss about pricing and he wanted to place an order and she was just getting with me to make sure she had the quanity and address right. She offered what sounds like good prices saying it's $0.99 for a dozen 3x3 post it notes, then says very quietly that they only sell them in 2 different sizes which are 8 or 4 gross. So your $. 99 a dozen post its will really cost you at least $47.52.
After getting off the phone, I spoke with the boss, who in turn, said he never spoke to anyone and wouldn't order from anyone and had NO CLUE what I was talking about, but "Carry" seemed to know everything about him.
She was very beleiveable and tried to make small talk about how I could call her anytime I was in Missouri and she would love to show me around. Also mentioning why they were going out of business (something about she was moving with her family somwhere else). They will even try to throw in some free product like a palm pilot.
After looking talking to my boss and finding out he didn't really place any order, I attempted to find them on the internet because "Carry" never left a phone number for me. I searched and found a report that called it a scam that had their number on it and called to cancel the order.
When you call them to cancel, it rings about 5 times then goes to a woman's voicemail that sounds like nothing more then just a cell phone voicemail saying you've reached SVT and to please leave a message.
After a few minutes, they called back and cancelled the order. Hopefully that's the last I'll hear from them.
Please be very careful if you get a call from them and call them back and cancel it right away!
