Dear Pamela

The Job Applicant provided your name as a personal or professional reference in conjunction with completing an application for employment with a Career Network client or affiliate. Should you no longer wish to receive emails from Career Network or its affiliates, please use the following link. Http://www.careernetwork.Us.com/optout. Cfm? Ra=&id=6160678

The link didn't work so I foolishly responded to the email and cc'd my daughter. She said she got the same email and was wondering if I was looking for a job.

I haven't looked for a job in over 5 years and when I did sign up it was with a very old email yahoo.com address.

After researching both the name employmentace.com and career network, inc. I have seen nothing but complaints about them. As a matter of fact this website: http://www.ftc. Gov/opa/03/stampout2001. Shtm has this report of file:

Career Network, Inc., and its principals, Walter Turulis and Kathleen Key. Complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, Hammond Division, on January 3. On January 3, the court granted the FTC's request for a temporary restraining order, asset freeze, and appointment of a temporary receiver. On January 9, the court entered stipulated preliminary injunction, continuing the terms of the TRO. Civil Action No: 2:01-CV-001-JM; FTC Staff Contact: Gregory A. Ashe, Bureau of Consumer Protection, 202-326-3719.
