Scam. Don't answer door! Stole cancer patient much needed prescription drugs, unethical, $130 GONE!

I was at my friends (who is currently being treated for 3rd stage cancer) and he was at the doctors. There was a commotion at the door and I opened the window to look out. Two young men stood there, Jason and Caleb. Caleb, the talker, started throwing questions at me and high fiving me through the screen, he had a southern accent talking as fast as he could about voting and points for them and trying to beat the girl teams. Jason the quiet one just stood there.

I have a hearing problem so it was all I could do to catch every other word.

I thought they were from a local high school as they were dressed like high school kids and they looked young.

Even though they were a team they said they needed at least one subscription each to get "points".

They kept shoving these magazine brochures through the screen and the talker kept talking about his grandma and she had a cat like my friends, the color of the cats eyes, blah, blah, and I honestly don't even remember opening the door, suddenly there they were inside and I was trying to keep the cat from going outside the open door.

Mr. Talker just kept talking and one minute he was sitting next to me and the next he was across from me then he was standing up giving me high fives asking me if I had a boyfriend, who I voted for -high five again. He was rambling about sending these magazines to the service men in Iraq do I support the war or anything to keep him from addressing my questions about their company. Jason is busy doing paperwork filling out forms in his little binder and I was having a hard time keeping up with al the confusion.

I only had $7.00 in cash but they said they'd rather checks anyway. Before you knew it I had written out two separate checks but when they told me the amounts I about fell over. I told them I couldn't afford them and they said not to worry, cause customer service will call me and I can cancel the orders and they will still get their points and credit and I will get my checks back promptly. Caleb said his grandmother bought seven subscriptions. I wrote in the amount but told them I'd be right back. I went on the internet to the complaint typed in Face to Face and there it was SCAM... I actually felt threatened by a couple of punks in the next room.

Unfortunately when I returned they were gone, my checkbook was gone, the $7.00 was gone and two tangerines lifted from kitchen. I was just sick. My friend came home from treatment and when he needed his pain medication IT WAS GONE. They stole 130 tablets of a controlled pain substance. No customer service calls to me, nobody answers their phone in Golden, Co or answer my emails. I closed my checking account but the bank felt justified to clear those two checks and they are now going to investigate Face to Face. We immediately filed a police report and I got a huge lecture from the police but this company and their "sales team" get off scott free. My friend had to go a whole week without pain medication, I'm out $130 and this company just goes on every year. They can just walk into your house lie and steal what they want and the best you get is a shrug. No good deed goes unpunished. I fully understand the meaning of that expression now.
