I ordered a special on their detox pads (they were having an end of year special) for the 300 piece detox system. The website was well done and looked legitimate with the security imprints. I received a receipt by e-mail almost immediately. (A former supplier I have used in the past, while much more expensive, shipped immediately and I received footpads in less than a week). I wanted to try this company due to the lower expense.
One month later, I was still waiting for the foot-pads to arrive, and I noted some scam reports about them posted on the internet, so I became concerned about my order. When I first called their phone number (631) 369-2672, no one answered, and a message came on saying that "the phone mail is full, try again later". I also tried an E-Mail, but it said it was turned off. When I tried the phone again later (after lunch time), I was able to reach someone who explained that they were experiencing a labor shortage and also a shipping hang up due to the Chinese New Year, during which time the manufacturing factories are shut down. It becomes difficult to get sufficient products imported to meet an apparently burgeoning worldwide demand, and there is a huge backlog of orders built up due to the growing popularity and market for these items. They did seem willing to work with people who called in to reference any problems with their orders. It seems that these sorts of import/export problems are common when dealing with developing countries.
I am choosing to be patient for now but will do a follow-up post to close when and if I get the products, or if I do not get them. I hope this encourages some of you who might also still be in limbo, to keep trying to call them at times other than meal times.
