GoldStar Van Lines used a bait and switch style scam on us. They quoted a price from an state to state move that definitely was not too good to be true, and in the end tripled the price stating they would auction my possessions if it was not paid in full. The tripled price included unfair and fraudulent charges such as a $350 fee for a second pickup when they decided to bring a near full truck on the first pickup.
Not only was a second pickup a huge burden to us, we were told we would not be charged for their mistake, we were. Then we were charged for $118 fuel charge that was supposed to be included in the original price and $250 storage price which again we were told was free for one month. They also charged an overweight fee, but the truck got weighed with other people's possessions taking up the majority of the room.
We tried to come to an agreement on the new price but the owner, Danny Shoval, who never spoke with us before, came on the phone in a foreign accent and used verbally abusive language against me. I will definitely be taking them to small claims court at the very least. They also broke a super expensive piece of furniture in the move. GoldStar Van Lines is a horrible moving company, do not use them, do not support terrorists scam artists.
