I was called on a private phone line by CMS claiming to be visa, asking if i wanted a free watch and 4 free magazines just for being a visa member. I said yes, they 'confirmed' my visa account #, and my home address, and an e-mail account address so my free package could be sent to me.
When i received a confirmation call, i was told i would receive the 4 free magazines for 4 years then explained how they were free because i paying for 1 year of the magazines, but i had already said yes so they had tried to bill me. However, i cought the ripoff, and cancled my account. They then sent me invoices for the $58.24 they were charging me for my magazine order. They said that they would charge this every month for the next year and continue to send invoices untill the last payment was received.
If they were not paid they would take it to the next level, but we did that first and forced them to re-credit me for $58.24.
All we did was tell them we wern't going away, we were not going to pay them (at any level). They then canceled it, which they said they couldn't do, then refunded my money, after sending me a fax confirmation of cancelation.
