After seeing the ad on tv (which I've seen plenty of times thru the years) we went to a "starving artist" painting sale at a hotel in the Florida Mall in Orlando, Fl today (1/4/09). We needed two paintings with frames and the prices on the tv ad were very reasonable, we thought. We bought two paintings and one frame for 119.00. My wife saw a frame for the other painting she wanted at the flea market a few miles from our house about a year before. So we stopped by the flea market and took the painting in with us to make sure the frame fit. The painting and frame store was still there and we picked out a frame for our new 16x20 painting. The owner of the store happened to see the price on the painting, $34, and said she sells this exact painting for $15 everyday! I started looking at what they were selling and it was the same stuff as the starving artist sale. So it looks like they both sell the same stuff but a flea market is half the price or lower! We were surprised to say the least, and dissappointed that the paintings weren't authentic.
