Rip-off dishonest marketing strategies billing without providing service disgrace to telemarketing

I recieved a phone call of winning some watch by one Tina at about 5.30pm, 15-30 mins latter another call from Jeremy Bingham introducing their magazines and asked for my credit card number. Gave me his social security number (as gaurantee of his credibility) which i could not trace. Said i would recieve list of magazines (within 3days. I got the list 10 days after) they carried after which i would be billed.

I felt uncomfortable after i had given him my card number so i went on line to check my account details and lo and behold i ahd been debited ($58.00) for materials that i had not even seen! 9. Oopm another call from Harry or God knows whatever that one's name was saying he was recording the conversation and tried to explain payment plans and said i had agreed to a 4 year plan (whatever that was) and that i may not recieve my first order of magazines until 6 weeks after. He asked if i had any questions. I said yes that why would they debit my account for a service that had not been provided and suppose i was not interested in any of their magazines?

He replied quite beligerently why would i not be interested, they carried a wide range and i must find something there, when i insisted he now replied that i could withdraw and my money will be refunded.

One thing i must comment about was that each one of them talked so fast that i had to keep asking that they repeat themselves. I don't know if this is the usual practice or they do that to confuse their customers and thereby stealing from them. I hope they can produce tapes of the recoreded transactions if they have not edited them and i made my reservations quite clear to them.

I have returned the documents saying that i am not interested in their materials and i am waiting for the 30 day period to expire for them to refund my money to me. I have never heard of where one pays in advance for a service that has not been provided except in the insurance business and even that is not entirely true! At least insurance is an investment but what CMS is doing is a breach of trust and blatant theft.
