Unethical company, payroll violations, hostile environment, put employee's at universal precaution risk

Took a patient from El Paso to CA on private angel flight. Was not told anything about patient until got to hospital. Hosp. Staff informed me patient was highly contagious. Company did not provide me protective gear.

11/17/08 was injured on the job, using a gate belt. Client was over medicated from skilled facility and not stable. He fell twice and I fell with him to protect him from breaking anything (which is proper procedure I was trained previously in AR) this company does not provide this training to their employee's. They would not provide me release until shift ended. Had to seek immediate medical treatment as my left shoulder was dislocated. When reporting the incident they would not provide me with their designated provider to receive treatment. Demanded I drive with a dislocated shoulder 40 miles to file incident report. Would not come to me, would not accomodate me by faxing it. Had to seek medical treatment on my own... They denied my claim. They are a non-subsciber workmans compensation company. Employee who I provided verbally incident of injury and fall of patient denies receiving the information and claim was denied. They became so hostile while I was injured and in pain on the phone I then asked all future communication be in fax form.

I have only received 4-5 checks and never has the check been received within a timely manner. I had to get first check re-issued and pick up at their office. They said other checks were mailed and not postmarked for over 7 days after date written. Claimed my check was sent to previous address at my sisters, then check shows up at correct address over 12 days late. After training with another employee she informed me many employee's have had this problem, her name is Maria, she demanded them to issue her petty cash. She has been there 9 months. She informed me many caregiver had quit due to non-payment or payroll issues and that I was not the only one. Fortunately I am living with family and I was patient, although I am a single mother and needed the paycheck to purchase my daughter 6 prescriptions she needs for her disability monthly.

This company is vilating Labor Laws, OSHA laws, providing medical care and billing as non-medical care with the government. They are being paid by the government 15.00 and not paying the employee's within legal amount of time (and usually 6.75-7.00 per hr to employee's) They are holding financial stability away from their employee's. Many are not educated to the fact of their rights are being violated and that they are performing medical care without the proper training. Putting employee's at risk when they are not aware of it. I am making this complaint because they are providing a service under fraudulant circumstances, violating employee's rights, violating labor laws, discriminating against those who speak up and defend themselves. I want to protect the veterans families and all future employee's.
