After inquiring about an opportunity in my local paper I was told that there were better opportunities in my area. My first contact was Chris Hughes, who at the time was very helpful. He then put me in contact with Bill Porter who also was very helpful and promising. After numerous conversations with both Bill and some franchise dealers I decided to go ahead with my new opportunity. I was sent a package by Bill and we discussed the contents over the phone. On 9/25 I sent him the signed contracr (my signature only) with a check for a 40 location distributorship. Bill promised me that I would receive the signed contract back along with my supplies to get the business started. He put me in contact with Evan's Consulting who he said would find and quarantee a minimum of 40 locations and replace those that did not produce based on their expectations. I also sent a signed contract to Evan's Consulting along with a check. The locations were found by a Joseph Williams and I received a list of those locations when I met with Mr. Williams. I was told by Bill Porter that my product was put on the side as of 9/25 and would be shipped upon receipt of the check. He gave me a shipping date of no later then 10/17 which never materialized. He also put me in touch with (My Personnal Customer Service Rep - Gordan Byron) who turned out to be non entity most of the time. He was harder to get a wholed of then the President. I kept getting the run around from him about product and when I finally received my product it was wrong and some of it was damaged making it hard for me to service my locations. It was supposed to be replaced but never was as well as additional location product that I secured myself. I was also told that I would get 50% of all commercial accounts that Royal Gourmet Coffee would personally secure. After speaking with Evan's Consulting about 6 weeks into my new adventure I was told by Dave Evans (Owner) that he had dropped Royal Burgandy International as an account. I know that I was mislead, defrauded, embarrassed, and as far as I am concerned my contract is not binding because it was not signed by all parties as stated on contract.
