LFG Lease
Company has sent twice a month nasty letters stating I owe them monthly fee. Bar/Grill which had a fire on May 18 was a total loss

In May 18 I lost my business due to a devasting fire. I not only lost my business but I lived above my tavern so therefore lost my home.

I had a credit card terminal and somehow it was leased out to LFG Lease Company.in June, I cancelled all debit payments coming out of my business account. Now the trouble begins. This LFG Lease comany claims I still owe on the lease of the equipment which was destroyed by the fire. I sent this company my fire report, the fact sheet that the liquior license is now in escrow, the fact sheet that the city of Gladstone rezoned my property and I could not rebuild.

Therefore, I no longer have my business, no longer have an income and am living with my x husband in Adrian Michigan. I am going to be 62 and in March begin social security. I lost everything and my personal belongings were not covered by insurance because the insurance company said I need to have renters insurance on the building that I owned. I had insurance on my building and business but pretty much in a bankkrupcy statis.

Since July, LFG Lease Company has sent twice a month nasty letters stating I owe them monthly fee. I have been receiving threating phone calls supposedly from New York stating I will be sued and need to come to New York to face a judge. One phone call states for 575.00 I can close the account.

Another phone call states for 950.00 I can clase the account and avoid the law suit. I sent them many times the documentation stating the buisness is closed. I no longer have tax I.D. Number because I closed the account up with IRS, State of Michigan and all other authorities. This lease was for professional, business use which I no longer have.

I tried to get them to send me something to settle with insurance and the people on the phone said there is no settlement that I am obligated to a four year lease and if I needed new equipement they would send it to me.

I am devasted over this loss and of the loss of income. What can I do to stop this harrassment. Please help me if you can.
