We hired Aleta Sordello to clean up in preparation for our first open house. They did a decent job cleaning and one of them kind of spoke English, but when I put the Patriots game on the next day I noticed a strange shiny spot on our big screen TV. Upon closer inspection it was obvious they had used some kind of cleaner or abrasive cloth because the anti-glare coating had been completely removed from a dinner plate sized area. I called Aleta the next day and she claimed that her people never touch TVs. She came over to look at it after me hounding her for a few weeks and then proclaimed that the damage must be on the inside. Well it obviously wasn't so I had to hound her for a few more weeks, and come to find out she doesn't even have the insurance coverage that she claims in her advertising. Coincidentally, her coverage "lapsed" during the week that they were at my house.
Anyway, she has since changed her story a few times from "we never touch TVs" to "we only use a dry cloth on TVs" to "we only use a damp cloth on TVs." Oh, my favorite excuse? Her employee wouldn't lie about the damage because he is a "minister of god." Gee, maybe acts of god are covered under my homeowners insurance. I am 100% certain that her people damaged my $5000 TV and she will not take any responsibility whatsoever. The repair would only have been about $200, but she just has no integrity or interest in fixing what her people have done. I've given up on hounding her with phone calls and will now do my best to warn the world of her reckless untrained crews and horribly dishonest business practices.
