Ferrell Gas
Without approval charged me for services not received and charged me again when they were and will not correct bill. Bismarck North Dakota

Wow, I am sitting here writing a letter to Ferrell Gas of Bismarck, ND concerning them, the corporate office, and the local office out of Sidney, MT and was surprised to find complaints on the internet for Ferrell Gas. Let me add my two bits

Ferrell Gas offered the best price, by far, for a used Propane tank and said they would match anyone else's price for propane. I purchased one and had it delivered in March. I was told they could not install the line until spring when the ground thawed and I would not be charged for the $200 setup/installation fee. You got it; they had my credit card and charged me anyways. I called Trina and she assured me when the ground thaws, Ferrell Gas will return to complete setup. This would include at no extra charge the trenching, regulator for home, 25' of copper line, and labor.

Spring came and went and no Ferrell Gas. I called the end of June and ended up having to schedule an installation. That day came and went and no Ferrell Gas. I called back and the lady rudely told me there was no installation scheduled and she would not schedule one until I paid my bill. What bill? I had been paid up since March. Turns out although they did not come and install my line, they did fill it up with propane.

Well of course I haven't paid, I didn't even know it had been filled up! She treated me like a delinquent customer when the propane was only filled up the day before! The lady would not reschedule or even try to figure out what happened to the original order. I asked to talk to the person I originally setup the installation order with and she took offense to that. Told her she took the order and I would like to talk to her to figure out what happened!

This person did remember, couldn't figure it out, had me pay for the propane, and then set up another date. This was a problem for me because I live 450 miles away from this residence and had scheduled the original date for a time I would be there working on the home. I had to reschedule for a later date and return the 900 miles round trip. Guess what? No Ferrell Gas again. Called and they had no record, again, of the installation order. I made a couple more calls and begged them to come out the next day as I was leaving the area again. Thankfully they did and the service technician was very nice.

Got my bill in the mail and guess what? Got charged for installation! Now starts my third battle with Ferrell Gas. (I completely skipped over the incident where I was supposed to get 25 gallons of free propane with a 500 gallon fill-up.)

I have called 5 times and was assured that charge was either gone or would be. Left two other voice mails and even talked with the collections guy. Called again today before mailing my letter and Alicia told me the charge is still there and they would not take it off because they ALWAYS charge for a second trip. Now I'm mad. That wasn't the second trip. It only looks like a second trip because they erroneously charged for a first trip.

They charge me without my authorization, when they couldn't do the work anyways, and when I specifically said I do not want to pay for that until it is installed, then charge me again when they do the work and won't take it off the bill because it is MY fault they came out twice. No, they never came out the first time to install because I did not order it!

I will send the letter to Bismarck and ask for someone to delete the charge and call me back. If I do not hear from someone soon or they still give me a hassle, I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. Thanks for posting your complaints on the Internet. It opened my eyes to what is really going on here.

AND, the tank I purchased from them had a leaky valve and lost almost 200 gallons of propane before anyone even moved into the place. We'll see if they reimburse me for any of that lost gas.
