I was called by this company because they said we needed to meet with them to reduce our fees because everything was going up. I thought it was the company that we actually had called Merchant Warehouse. However, this was Merchant Services, which I found out much later.
The woman I talked to, Shelley Kunz, was so efficient, I had no idea that she was actually getting me to sign a contract for 48 months, since we presently do not have to have a contract.
All my dealings with this company were high pressure, hurry, you're going to miss the price reductions, etc. I should have realized there was something wrong, she made several mistakes and then corrected them. I thought the fees would be less, she showed me that they were and said that my present company was really overcharging me.
At no time did she say I would have an unrevocable contract or that I would be charged exorbitant fees. I owned my machine, which they had to reprogram. When this was done, Shelley had told me that she would cancel my other contract. She did not do this. So, instead of paying $25.00 a month, I am now paying $56.00 and am stuck with a contract for 48 months! I am just ill about it.
I also had her look at our gallery contract which she said she couldn't do better than... Thank goodness, I really was very lucky she didn't con me into doing that one, also.
Now my machine has quit working, I dread the next steps!
