National Sales Group placed an ad for a pharmaceutical rep. I called per the instructions. It is a company who helps people find jobs. The system and costs were explained to me. I authorized a charge of $36.90. I was told I would receive a sales training book and if I decided to keep it I would be charged an additional $59.00. When I checked my credit card I was charged $95.90. I called the company to see what the problem was. I was immediately met with defensiveness. They were willing to credit the $59.00 but I obviously had misunderstood. I replied I had made a note of the words said to me and the amount. I was told I must think I am infallible. I asked for the whole amount to be credited and was told they would not do it. I asked to talk with a supervisor and was told there was no one else I could talk to. Finally another person came to the phone and gave me the same treatment but with a harsher attitude and words. I asked if there were any management people or the owner available and I was told, "YOU CAN NOT TALK TO OUR OWNER!!!"
When I received the owner, Tony Newton's sales book he makes a huge point about a good customer experience will bring more business. I guess he does not practice what he teaches.
Please do not work with this company. It must be a scam. Do the math, if the company keeps $36.90 of every person they enroll and they enroll a thousand people... What a way to make a living. Please be very careful... You will get to keep the book. For what it is worth.
