I called to shop for services and the rep on the line wanted to start by getting my social and CC # to qualify me. I told her I needed to qualify them first. That was red flag #1
We went over the different packages and the deal seemed pretty good, so we go on the set up the account.
She tells me they do automatic deductions from the credit card, but I can opt out by calling their main number. Red flag # 2.
Then she is reading very fast over the fine print, I need to constantly slow her down to repeat, then she gts to the 24 month contract that would be #3, and I say I am not interested and thanks for blowing 25 min of my life on the phone when it says nothing on the web page about that.
I was annoyed but not as much as I was when I opened an email from them thanking me for my order!!!
I emailed back and told them I never consented, and do not want their service. I figured I better call and get a "live" person or skanks like them would start charging my account.
I called, had to be transfered and finally got a confirmation and apology from the Dish folks, who have all manner of resellers of which Allsat is one.
Bad idea as it reflects on them as well.
Went with Direct Tv which was way more... Well Direct. They ask for a 18 month contract but will pause your account if you travel or go broke and move you once in a year. The fee for breaking the contract is $20 for each unsatisfied month. They threw in a year of Showtime for free (Dexter addict)
and I went away happy.
I was lucky enough to get out early. These people have really shady practices and should be avoided at all costs!!!
