I was contacted by a man at the end of May, by the name of Doug Shaffer, stating he was from United Metro Works, an advertising agency, that could assist me in enhancing my businesses bottom line. He then told me the "Ad" would run from June through June at a cost of $195.00, which would include radio spots, local advertising in a local magazine and it would run for one year. We paid the $195 and waited until June. We called to see where the "ad" was, and found out if was a xerox copy of our first page of our website. There was no work done, we created it ourselves.
So, I decided to call and email United Metro Works and cancelled and asked for a full refund. I was told it takes from 30 to 90 days to investigate our claim. So we waited the 90 days. I called again, and talked with "Jennifer" who claimed it was up to the "Boss" "Owner" to make the decision to refund our money. I asked that he call me back. We waited now 4 months, and no one has called me back, ever. I have called at least 7 times and spoke with Jennifer. Each time she says I will tell the owner to call you but it is up to him to call you back. He never does.
Hen on Friday, September 19th, I called and talked with Shane, who said he was the manager. I explaned to him the situation and he said, Jennifer handles refunds. I said I did not want to speak to her, because I always get the same response, and the last time we spoke, she hung up on me. I told him I was an investigator, and that I knew they would be interested in how I was being treated and he cut me off and said, "We have a truck load of attorneys that will keep me in litigation for years and that they could afford it, can you?" As of today, I have no refund.
