Signed up for a free 30-day trial and to get the free credit report. I originally went to TransUnion to get a free credit report. The website directed me to the TrueCredit site, with no indication there was an alternate site for a free credit report. I signed up for the free service, and I had to verify my identity over the phone. Then, my 30-day free trial was canceled, and I was billed $14.95. After being billed again, I called and talked to a customer rep (there is no way to close your account online, nor is there an email contact or mailing address, that should be the first warning sign) who said that I had subscribed to a premium service that gave me all three credit scores. I looked online and I could only see one credit score. I just wanted the free credit report, the website is purposefully confusing to lure someone into an agreement. When I talked to the customer rep, they told me they canceled it that day but I still have not received confirmation of this. Also, I requested a refund for the month they billed in advance. They should not be able to charge for services that would be provided in the future if I don't want them. They will not give refunds. They have taken control of whether not they can bill my credit card and I feel like I have no way of stopping it, without calling, waiting on the phone, and listening to a sales pitch by the rep, taking time away from me, and I have no idea if it even worked. It's my bank account, not yours, Truecredit! They took my money and won't give it back.
