Today, I went to The Wal-mart in my small town of Albion, I was looking to buy some new shoes, for cheap. So I found a pair that actually looked like it said were $1.50 but it was hand written and on tape covering the original price.
So I decided to buy them. When I got to the counter the woman rang them up as 9.00! So I asked her to pull them out and take a look at the tag, and she said it looked more like a 7.50 not a 1.50. Which I agreed seeing that if they were originally 9 rolling them back to 7.50 isn't too bad.
So I paid for them and left the store. When I got home I decided to rip the tape off. To my complete surprise under the tape they were marked 7.00! They actually charged me an extra. 50! I know that's not much. But why was the cash register ringing them up as 9.00?
When I told my sister about it, she wanted to go and check the others at the store out as well. And to my surprise they were all like that! I even took pictures! So If this doesn't get me any where I'm going to write the company as well.
It's really sad, that they would do that. Charge you extra when they're said to "roll back" but really they're "rollup" I really like the shoes so I kept them. But. 50 cents! Come on now! That's ridiculous!
