I was terminated for having lunch with an ex employee of Rent A center, at least that is what I was told. I was also told that the place where I had lunch had a history of hiring Rent A center employees. I was led to believe my only recourse was arbitration even though their is no signed agreement in my file and rent a center will not and cannot produce one. Even one year later after an investigation by EEOC concludes that my termination was suspicious as it was done without any investigation being done by rent a center. Rent A Center went on to reclarify that I was terminated for performance when I was number one in my mrket for profit and won the stupid ass Perform To Win prizes every quarter in my group. I had an approved transfer to another market scheduled for 3 and a half weeks prior to my termination which I am sure must have played a part in this farce of a termination. I already had a truck scheduled and an apartment rented so their was no way that I was seeking employment.
