First data tried to extort over $2500.00 from me, saying I signed up for a credit card machine lease, for a store I didn't own. The fraudulent lease was created in December but I sold the store in 2004. The new owner changed the name of the business in 2004 and closed the store at the end of 2006 or early part of 2007. First data claims that I own this store and it is still open today, it was located across from the Hollywood Police station and has been closed for over a year. I sold my interest in the store in December. This whole scenario is absurd.
I have been in contact with First Data legal department for damages sustained by this horrible experience. First Data's attempt to extort money from me failed, but they did mangage to destroy my credit, posting their fake account 30,60. And 90 days late on my personal credit report. They have also destroyed my Dun and Bradstreet ratings for my businesses and have allowed me to live in agony for over a year now.
I am an Architect, landlord, merchant, entreprneur, etc... They have destroyed all my opportunites and have crushed me.
I have filed a police report, have been to the state attornies office, have filed a complaint with the FTC, as well as being asked by the FBI to come in and show the FBI my evidence, this I did. First Data destroyed my business and recently in the news you see what they did to Frontier Airlines, they don't care who they step on, they use people as their own little piggy banks.
I am looking for a law firm who is not afraid to stand up against this horrible company, and am willing to share my story and my evidence with the world. Any reporters out their want one hell of a story I have one for you. I have read hundred of complaints about this company on this site as well as the BBB site. The government need to step in and put and end to the unethical practices of First Data before they destroy our country, one merchant at a time.
My advise for First Data, next time you try to extort money from a person, you should learn how to spell their name properly, research you actually owns the company your trying to extort, have the right business address and also the right phone numbers, and when you get caught at your little games, make sure you delete the fraudulent accounts off peoples credit reports before you destroy them like you did to me and my businesses.
