I had a girl (very rude) tell me AFTER her "auction" had ended that "Oh, I changed my auction to have a Reserve set of $25.00"
Customer Support supposedly told her that she could do this? How would you know? Their phone number is all but non-existent. You have to contact "Live Support" They told me that I should file an "item not received report" Oh boy was that fun. I went through all of the steps to report this girl and then they wanted me to send them the email (s) that were exchanged between us but needed it to be in "Header Format"?? Hell, I don't know how to do this... I tried a couple of times and ended up giving up. They told me that they could do nothing until I sent them the email (s) in this format.
What a waste of time. I wasted probably 2 hours of my time trying to report this "witchy woman" and had to drop the ball because they would only accept my report in a "technical" format. They could have easily verified what I was saying by looking at her auction. She clearly broke several policies. Your not supposed to be able to change pricing of an auction a) if it has been over 12 hours (which it was) and b) If you already have bidders (which there were). Then the witchy woman had the gall to block me from purch? Asing from her? WOW. As if I would want to by from her anyway but what the hell? How dare she and how dare Ebay for doing nothing!
The only recourse that I had was being able to put in "feedback" but was limited to something like 25 words. Ughh. Be careful when you buy from Ebay! The only thing I can suggest for people that got ripped of monetarily is to pay via PayPal. They are supposed to somehow "insure" purchased made through them? Not sure how they do this but that is what they claim! Happing shopping!: 0) Try OVERSTOCK.com. They offer great prices without the trouble of placing bids. I have had very good luck with them!
