Similar to the other complaint against The Coffee Man, I answered an ad in a local newspaper. I do not recall the name of the individual that I initially spoke with but once I received the high quality marketing materals and sample coffee, I was continually contacted by Bob Cameron and Jack McShay (sp?).
I too spoke with three reps or distributors who had nothing but great things to say - one of the distributors has been doing this for more than eight years and had expanded a number of times.in fact, all three answered when I asked if they had ANY regrets, said they had wished they started out bigger.
So I opted for an Elite Level Distribution which afforded me exclusivity with four towns an 92 contracts with businesses in those towns. After I completed my last wire transfer on 6/30, things got very quiet. Jack McShay contacted me once to tell me that we were scheduled to begin on 7/22. On 7/14 I called their 1-800-729-4212 and either got a busy signal or a automated message from the phone company.
I tried other numbers I had in vain. 303-357-4768 which is their local Denver number - that had been disconnected. Also, Bob Cameron had called me on another number 866-978-5299 (x 109) and that was dead. Lastly he had once contacted me (while he was on vacation with his family) from this number 888-200-3963 and of course that did not work either.
As the harsh reality of what might be happening set in today, I began searching the net to see if I could find any news. One of my worst nightmares came true. I can only hope that there's a chance a class action suit will be filed or that the company somehow makes good on investors losses through legal and/or the threat of criminal action.
