I have recieved several responses to my posted resume from various individuals associated with Career Networks, Inc and The Employment Hunters, as well as other company names. What I mean to say is I have also recieved several other emails from other companies for which I did not keep their names, but I can tell they come from the same source. Why?
This morning I found three emails proportedly from two different companies, which I named above. If you search on the Internet for either or simply type in "www.plus the name of the company.com" you wind up on the same web page.
This may not sound too strange; however, this company seems to have many, I mean 10 or more different company names. Like I said, I have recieved many emails and except for the company name and the name of the individual representing said company, everything else is the same: the form and style of the email, along with the same post office box, city and state, which is:
Career Network, Inc.
P.O. Box 618305
Orlando, Florida 32861-8305
I just copied this from The Employment Hunters email, and it is the same information found on the Career Network, Inc email, and it was the same on various other emails from several other companies with different names.
Why am I troubled by this?
The main web site requires some personal information to register, and more personal information to apply for a job, and then you recieve an email stating "We have received your application and feel you meet the initial requirements for the position. I would like to recommend you as a qualified candidate." They then ask, "If you are still interested in pursuing this position please visit our website at: " and they include a link. All of these links send you to the same Career Networks, Inc log-in page.
Meanwhile there is no way to contact any of the companies directly: no street address, no phone number, nothing except email addresses, the same common post office box, and in many cases the same web site. Some of the other companies I referred to but did not keep their names had a different web site but again, thier form was the same including no direct contact information.in all cases once you click on the "contact us" icon here is what you find:
"Have a question? Interested in partnering with the Career Network? Please email us at [email protected]. If you are a job seeker and are looking to join our network of candidates, please click here.
Note that Career Network is not able to reply to job seekers about application status. Job Seekers must wait to be contacted directly by the employer. Career Network allows employers to post confidentially and cannot provide Job Seekers any information regarding the employer that is already on the application."
Many of the offers I recieve from these various "companies" are attempts to recruit me to work with them in various capacities.
I have know idea if these companies are legitimate or not, but it is troubling not being able to find direct information on any of them.
Two of the people who supposedly sign the emails are:
Michael Brown Human Resources
Jill Martin Human Resources
And if you read another posting you will see that another person has run into the same challenges from the same people.
