PCS1 Misleading promises and deceptive business practices

Our business signed up with DATAVO for a better rate than our current telephone and internet provider through a friendly sales rep that walked in to our office one day. The sales rep promised us that the first month's fee and installation would be waived as in a free 30 day trial offer.

Initially the installation tech arrived two days later than the promised date of install.

We remotely connect to our computers at work from home to conduct business regularly. This was working fine without a hitch with AT&T, our previous provider, until DATAVO took over. Our in house tech discovered that when the change took place we could no longer connect to our computers at work from home and decided to give DATAVO tech support a call. At first we found out that DATAVO tech support was unavailable after 6:00 P.M. On weekdays and no tech support on weekends. After numerous calls to tech support to try and find a solution as to why the remote connection stopped working, our in house tech was told that the computers we had were the problem.

Our tech assured us with numerous tests that our computers were working properly and that the remote connection that he had setup was working correctly until DATAVO took over and that he made no changes after the take over to induce any connection problems. Our tech was given bogus answers to many of his simple questions by DATAVO tech's, and even told us to wait over the weekend until Monday morning when we would get a call from their "senior" tech rep, which of course never happened.

After not being able to get a straight answer from anyone at customer service OR tech support, we decided to call our sales rep to see if we can get a straight answer. After many unanswered calls and voice mail's, we figured we would send an email to the head of DATAVO.

Nowhere on their website can you get an email address to anyone anywhere in the company, the only way is to fill our their web email form and hope to get an answer sooner than the "a tech will contact you in 2 days" message you get when you click "submit."

So we decided to call customer service to get any information on email addresses. After being put on hold for over 30 minutes. We were told that they "don't have this information." Shouldn't a companies customer service reps be given their email addresses of their own company to give out? While being purposely put on hold, I decided to call again with my cell phone and my call was picked up in 5 minutes and I ended up yelling at them for not being cooperative and finally a rep from the repair tech department decided to give us three different email addresses.

*I would like to add that on their sales agreement, it says that if you have any billing disputes, you should send an email to [email protected] We did and it bounced back as non-existent.

So we sent a few emails regarding this matter and haven't heard from them yet.

Also, 10 days after the service was connected we were sent a bill for $130.91 which was over the set price of $115.00 that was on the sales agreement we signed. Not to mention that we were told the first month was supposed to be free, if so, then why the bill?

So when we decide to go back to good 'ol AT&T, we call DATAVO to have our service switched over, we were told by the customer service rep that picked up that they could not switch us back until we call AT&T and have them send a work order to DATAVO to have the lines switched back. This is funny considering that on their flyer it says in print that if you are not satisfied with their service within 30 days, DATAVO will switch you back for free.

As soon as you figure out that their service is terrible and customer service is horrible and that you want to cancel, they refuse to return your calls to confirm the cancellation.

Seems like they want to keep us past 30 days so they can purposely collect their $130.91 and if you cancel, their $200 termination fee.

Their website looks like it has been put together by a fourteen year old with broken links all over the place and parts of the original template they used to make the website. Also their sales agreement contract has typo's all over the place.

Also when we tried to cancel our service, it seems that they decided to cut our main phone line which caused us loss of daily revenue which they should be responsible for.

DO NOT sign up with this company, you will be sorry. This company called DATAVO seems to be a scam, fraud, and con rolled into one with deceptive business practices and misleading promises which end up being lies.

If anyone out there has experienced this nightmare, I am willing to participate in a class-action lawsuit against DATAVO. Have your attorney contact me through this website.
