This company sent me and my wife the card we called for two days to get intouch with them to find out some information. When we did finally get intouch with the company. They gave all kind of BS to make it all sound good.
So, my wife was suckered in and convinced me to go ahead and get it. After about five min. We started to think about it and we decided to cancel the card. They gave us another number to call.
After we got intouch with the company the second time, the woman explained they could cancel the card but, she also advised that we needed to call back the following day. She also explained that we could shop online at their website. So, the following day we tried to locate their website. We typed in the online shopping center"CCA", which the only thing it brought up was the rip off reports.
After we read the reports of other customers who had been scamed, we wanted to call again and try to cancel before the same event happen to us.
We then called a third time, we finally got through to customer service to try an cancel the account. We spoke to a young man who kept us on the phone for over an hour in a half.
He explained that our account can not be cancelled after we created it (going agaisnt what the other rep. Had told us, that our card can be cancelled). Then he said that the only helpful thing he could do is to set the payments back a month or two. We then explained again "we only wanted to cancell the account".
He once agained told us no that is not possible you cannot cancell the account. Then out of curosity we asked about the website, he said they did not have a website to shop on.
We then got fed up with their BS and explained that if they are not going to cancell our account we will be letting our lawyer get intouch with them. Suddenly their attitude changed towards the sitaution, he then told us we can cancell the check through our bank before they take out any payment.
They still tried to take out the payment for the account. So, we then had to cancell the account at the bank. The company still harasses through phone calls and letters trying to collect their money for the membership that was cancelled one day after being created.
One word of advice to all the potential customers who are looking for their credit being rebuilt by this company, or maybe just a convenite credit card to use for online shopping.
"if it sounds to good to be true it probably is".
