I'm embarrassed to say that I not only fell for the pitch, but I purchased the package - over $5,000.00 for the deluxe.
Sheryel Ashchfort should be nominated for an Adademy Award, so believable is her pitch. After a 4 hourd pitch session where I was shown a multitude of men in my age group - all attractive, all successful, and all cleverly hidden under the FYEO (For Your Eyes Only) category - meaning they can see you on their members only website, but you can't see them - I still haven't met a single member of this exclusive group. I did have a drink date with a member who indicated that they had asked him to take me out, but he clearly wasn't interested. Another was interested in networking opportunities only. The others who have chosen me are not attractive or successful.
Sheryel hovered when I was having second thought about joining - I got emails and calls daily... Unitl I signed the contract and forked over the check. Since then, Sheryel has not, will not respond to any email I have sent her... After her assurances that "I will be here for you... We connected... I really think you're great."
Each time I call my "personal shopper", there is a hurry up and they send me 4 or 5 profiles of men they should know would hold no interest for me. After hours of conversation and an emphasis on the personal brand of matchmaking, it is obvious to me that they take the money and run... You'd be better off on E-Harmony or Match.com than with this personal brand of face to face matchmaking.
This service is nothing that they advertise - stay away, run, and never ever give them a dime. Because if you do, the only dramatic change in your life will be a decrease in your assets... Monetarily. And it is all clearly spelled out in the contract - non-refundable. Shame on me.
