Upon giving an estimate for work to be done, the owner of the business quoted HIS hourly rate and how long he figured it would take him. He had a woman with him who he introduced as someone else's wife. This woman held a spool of wire for him, handed him tools when they were requested and vacuumed the dust from the carpet in about 3 different spots when he had completed the work.
We then received a bill with the hourly charges that were agreed upon but ALSO included an hourly fee (which was nearly as much) for the woman who he now refers to as his "apprentice" (who, by her own admission, has had no formal training by the way)!
When I confronted Mr. Hanover about these fees that he had neglected to mention beforehand, he tried to justify the fees claiming the woman is his apprentice and that had she not helped, the job would have taken longer to complete thus the fees balance out in his opinion. However, he may absolutely no reference to her fees nor to the fact that she would be helping him lest the job take him longer when quoting an estimate to us.
Beware of this company!
