I signed up for Direct TV in Pensacola, FL. My contract was initiated November 5.
The package I signed up for was advertised for "locked in price for a year." In March I received a "modest" price increase. When questioning them their reasoning was "everyone" received it. I'm not sure that is a legal argument to break several thousand people's contracts. That argument never worked when I was a kid or when I was raising m kids.
I have also had to contact them almost every month to have my discounts applied to my account.
I now have 14 pages of e-mail correspondence documenting my problems with them. That was definately worth the "modest" price increase for at least one of those months.
Any attorney interested in making a statement, I would be more than happy to forward the e-mails admitting their practices.
