Requesting 6 monthly loan payments in advance, before total amount of loan disbursed

The company is requesting 6 monthly payments in advance as collateral, before disbursing the total amount of the loan requested into my checking account. I believe the loan amount will not be sent to my account. I was checking on other problems with this or other similar company's. Please check and let me know if this company is ligitimate.
