As a long time owner of purebred dogs, I am appaulled to have encountered this situation. Five days ago, my family purchased a labrador puppy from Jim Standridge of Rock Hill Chihuahuas. We were devastated to find out yesterday that our precious puppy has Parvo.
Vets have confirmed that the puppy was infected with the virus prior to coming to our home. It is still unknown whether she will survive.
Upon contact, Mr. Standridge refused to take responsibility or make any contribution to the vet bills. He is simply refusing to stand behind the "quality" puppies he advertises on his website.
If you visit his website, you'll find that he claims that his puppies are never caged - this is not true. However, most customers would never find this out because he meets them to drop off the puppies or simply ships the dogs.
We are now dealing with enormous vet bills and a heartbroken little girl facing the possibility of losing her puppy. Not to mention the fact that three other family pets have now been exposed. Do not purchase a dog from this kennel.
