My husband was watching an infomercial for a vacuum. It was for a light weight three in one vacuum - upright, portable and stick. It was buy one get one free with three payments of $39.95 shipping & handling. If he ordered in the next 10 minutes he received two steam cleaners free. Shipping and handling was 18.50 per vacuum and unspecified on the steam cleaners. He placed the order by phone. Two days later a girl called me and said that his order did not go through and asked if I would like to re-order and I would be sent a $25.00 rebate for my trouble.
About five days later upon arriving home on a Friday 2/22/08 there were four packages in my car port. They all contained vacuums with a letter inside stating that the steam cleaners were on back order. One invoice was in my name totaling $191.44; another invoice in my husband's name totaling $256.39.
To top it off the vacuums were crap. I tried one out and it clogged with in three minutes and emitted an electrical oder. I tried calling on the spot but dicovered customer service was 8-5 Monday thru Friday.
Outraged I called the number Monday 2/25/08 morning and spoke to Ronald Castro who apologized and told me to fax the reciept showing my return shipping and I would be refunded in full on my husband's invoice plus return shipping & handling and all but $37 less shipping & handling on my invoice. He told me it would take three to four week after recieving shipment.
I called back on 4/6/08 to find out where my money was and to tell them that $39.95 was withdrawn by Smart Vac on 3/14 and on 3/17. I was told by Leo that they recieved the shipment 4/22/08 and it would be three two four weeks to recieve my money. I told him no more money better come out of my account. He assured me that it would not. I called a on 4/19/08 and demanded a refund. I told him that $39.95 was taken out of my account twice on 4/16/08 by Reliant International Media and bounced a check as a result. I was told again by Leo that the request was not made until 4/6/08 when I called. I asked if upon recieving the shipmnt back if they just assumed they could keep my money. Again I was told the request went in on 4/6/08. He also told me to fax proof of bounced check and they would refund it.
I called their suposed billing department and was told that the money would be in my account by 4/22/08. On 4/24/08 called again was told money would be there by 5/6/08. Called on 5/7/08 and they said that they would put in another request it would be three to four weeks. Called other number put on hold for over an hour. Called back first number demanded to speak to supervisor who was in a meeting. Called back an hour later and Leo told me that they would reproccess it.
5/8/08 called billing number and spoke to Randy. He told me money would be in account by 5/9/08.

The phone number is another # answered in Dallas as customer service. There address is listed in search criteria as 4201 Kellway Cir, Addison, TX 75001. There website is http://www.rimc.com/contact.html However I called their direct number from website and found their address to also be 11880 28 Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33716. They are affiliated with this whole thing. They are the ones that billed my debit card and when I called they said that they would take care of it. The following link will access the FL, BBB report

The adresses are only 60 mile from me and want to take a drive to Dallas. I am concerned for my safety because this is obviously a hudge scam. If I was able to identify 558 complaints not counting BBB, imagine all the ripped off people who just took it. Please help me.
