My Wife and I were victims of this moving scam not too long ago. We had moved from Florida to California in 2002. We were quoted one price and of course we were billed more than double... including the fact that they were three weeks late, never took our calls, lied about where our stuff was, and scratched and dented a precious valubles.
So... When they did finally show up (it was another moving company out of Los Angeles). I had spoke to These movers and they had told me they had to pick up my goods from Tennessee when Elite vanlines at the same time was telling me my goods were already in LA @ a storage place. These people in elite vanlines do not have customer service what so ever. They would hang up on people or put you on hold until you get fed up.
I'm glad this web was actually here to voice my concerns.
I don't even think these people running this moving business are from this country according to there accent.
I reported this to the BBB.
I hope this is of some sort of relief to all who have been screwed by this company. I too will not rest till the crooks get what they deserve...
I will write an update as soon as I know more.
