We bought a Bichon Frise puppy from these dog breeders about a year ago. We were appalled at the condition of the puppy. It's coat was long and yellow (supposed to be white) and the dog gave off a foul odor. We had just put our family dog to sleep and were desperate to fill that void as possible.
They claim on their website that all their dogs are checked out by the Macon County Veterinary Hospital, yet they live in Sumner County, TN. Why is that?
When we took the dog to the vet, we learned that the foul odor was a result of a severe ear infection. The vet said, the dog was lucky that he did not lose his hearing. The vet went on to say that the little dog exhibited signs of emotional and possbile physical abuse.
The area of Tennessee that we purchased the dog is infamous for puppy mills, some of which have made national news. I reported the "kennel" run by Laura Ghazi and her husband to the American Kennel Assocation. It appears that they may have lost their AKC registration and that they are now claiming that their dogs are registered with the ACA (American Caninie Association) and other less reputable organizations.
I continue my efforts to expose their operations in hopes that they will continue to be investigated. No animal should have to suffer like our little Bichon did.
